Why very few African people are running successful businesses

I have asked myself why very few African people are running successful businesses. And most of these few people don’t have strong educational background. Can we say this world is run by uneducated people ? I will leave you to answer that, but i have noticed something common amongst these few successful people and i would like to share with you today.

Most of these people are hardworking and are willing to learn practical stuff, maybe its because they are not good with the classroom thing but they really want to learn. They attend business seminars, conferences and workshops where they are taught and motivated how to run successful businesses. To most of them this is their classroom but the only differences with a normal classroom are:

1. There is no writing of test at the end of the day
2. They are taught practical stuff therefore they become practical entrepreneurs.

I always asked myself why when there is a business seminar or workshop, only a few people attend even though the majority is invited. I always asked myself how is an African child going to be successful if he/she is ignorant of such good learning opportunities. I always ask myself when is Africa’s job crisis going to end.

I could see the solution in everyone i talk to about business, i have seen great young man with good business ideas some of which can solve Africa’s job problems but they lack practicality and motivation. I always invite most of them to these business seminars but most of them don’t attend, but i understand why. Their minds are programmed to work for someone else thats why they are working for the uneducated few people.
